I to know Vickie from MESSA. She always had a radiant smile and welcoming, yet quiet spirit. She always made me laugh when David would come to the building for me and she would always refer to him as my husband. She was such a kind person that it never bothered me.
I am still in shock, and deeply saddened by her passing. I had no idea her illness was so serious. I continue to pray for the family to be comforted knowing she is with Him; and, she was such a very special person to so many. She will be greatly missed.

I would like to thank Vickie's family for sharing her with us at MESSAand MEA. Thank you for the beautiful story of her life and the wonderful pictures. The slide show at the funeral home was awesome and in every picture she was smiling. The sun was so beautiful today because HEAVEN was waiting for her to arrive. May you find joy and peace knowing that the MESSA and MEA Family loved her. She will always be in our hearts forever. Vickie, enjoy your reward you have earned it!

Out of the (3)years I was working as a temp at MESSA I remembered Vickie always asking if I was hired in yet and she always, with a smile, gave me optimisim that one day I would be hired. She would always say "Hi Krystal" every time I saw her and would remind me constantly of new job postings, and to see if I applied as soon as a job was posted. I regret not taking the time asking her if she felt alright everytime I saw her and the many days that I could've ran across the street to ask her if she needed anything. My prayers and thoughts are with Vickie's family and friends and I know she is in a better place and can hurt no more.

Vickie was such a sweet person. She was my weather advisor. She would always make sure I was prepared before I stepped outside. She was always upbeat and happy to be working at such a great place like MESSA. Her smile was catching! Now when someone enters heaven, Vickie will be there to welcome them.

Vickie was a friend and co-worker of mine. Before I even had the pleasure of calling her a friend, I just knew her as the wonderful receptionist who would smile every morning as I waddled in to work (I was several months pregnant at the time).
I'll miss her smile, our laughs, our movie days, lunches at Bangkok House - well, I'll just miss my buddy.
May God bless you, Vickie. I hope you know how much you're loved.

I know Vicky from working with her at the switchboard at MESSA - 7:59 every morning she would hurry in and with a smile on her face be ready to work. I had never seen her without a smile on her face. I really enjoyed the time that I was at the switchboard working with her - we had a lot of fun and laughed about a bunch of silly things. When I left the switchboard and had something personal happen in my life - Vicky would make sure to ask me every time how I was doing and give me good thoughts. I was shocked to hear about her passing and so sad that I was not able to say goodbye. I will miss her and her smiling face - god bless you Vicky - you are definately one of a kind!

Vicki was just always there... and she will continue to be there for many of us who shared the MESSA experience. I will miss her asking me how I am doing when I call into the office and say 'Vicki.. is that you?" and catching up on the 411 when I visited. I am sorry I did not know she was ill so I could extend the same kindness she showed me several years ago. Vicki will be missed by many who counted on her smile. She was the face of MESSA.

I am sorry to learn of Vickie's passing, but I know that heaven has received a wonderful person who will be a friend to everyone she meets there. When I started out at MESSA as a temporary emplyee Vickie made it a point to introduce herself to me and extend the hand of friendship. She was always pleasant to everyone who entered the doors of MESSA, and that speaks volumes that she represented the company so well. Vickie's wonderful personality and smile will be greatly missed. Vicki and I had known each other since hiring in at MESSA in the late 70s. All those years ago, she met my 4 year old son and, of course, wanted to babysit. I never had the pleasure of working with Vickie but when I needed to get up from my cubicle and stretch my legs, I would always go out to the recepionist area and have a friendly conversation with Vickie. We would make comments about different things and have good laughs about it. She was a soft spoken person who enjoyed talking to everyone who walked into the lobby. Vickie would call our department and tell me I either had a visitor or a package and her voice was always the same no matter what was going on. I miss our conversations already! I work with Vickie at MESSA. Vickie was more than the switchboard operator to me. She was my time clock, she was so very special to me. My heart is so heavy right now. When my manager called me in her office to tell me I was suppose to be the person to comfort people, but with the news of Vickie's passing I needed someone to comfort me. In the job that I do our HR department is across the street and you got to walk pass Vickie to get there. I only met Vickie once, as my mother Jayne is more so best of friend's with Vickie's mother, Rita. I did say to my mother after meeting Vickie, that I thought she was a very beautiful woman who had one of the prettiest and friendly smiles I had seen in a long time. I am a shy person, and Vickie's smile and sweet nature put me instantly at ease.
I felt as if we had been friends for the longest of times, all because of the kind of woman she was when simply 'meeting someone' for the first time. They say first impressions are worth a thousand words, in this case they are worth even more.
I will forever hold the image of a sunny warm day in a parking lot near a celtic tavern, a very tall (for I am short) woman with a smile brighter than the sun, and how I adored her and wished I to could have such a personality and beauty as Vickie.
Sincerely,
Teresa Braley (Jayne Stoy's daughter)
