Services: A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m Thursday, November 5, 2009 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kankakee IL.

Visitation: A visitation for Margiene Betourne will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Home, 1900 W. Court, Kankakee IL. 60901.

Margiene L. Betourne was born on June 6, 1921 to August and Anna Waznik Blake in Kankakee, Illinois. She married Gilbert Betourne on April 5, 1942 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kankakee, Illinois. He died on March 21, 1990.

Mrs. Betourne was a homemaker and also worked at the Joliet Arsonal during World War II. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, CCW and Woman of the Year. She also volunteered at Provena St. Mary's Hospital as a tray favor lady. She loved to read and enjoyed animals.

She is survived by her son Michael and (Betty) Betourne of Bonfield, Illinois and daughter Lori and (Cliff) Rusk of Bourbonnais, Illinois, grandchildren Steven and Robin Betourne, Ann and Steven Carson, Denise and Rich Seliga, Lisa and Gilbert Jallad, Blaine and Christy Taylor, and Rebecca and Adam Emling.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Deanna Taylor, brothers Henry, Clarence, Charles, Robert, James and Lin and sister Dorothy Wieliczko.
