Bernice M. "Bea" Pluger PLUGER, MRS. BERNICE M. "BEA" (Widow of Edward) Muskegon Mrs. Bernice M. "Bea" Pluger, age 91, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at the Poppen Hospice Residence. She was born November 14, 1914 in White Cloud, MI to Warley and Ola (Black) Jacobs and lived in the area most of her life. On June 18, 1941, she married Edward Pluger in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on October 19, 1992. Prior to her retirement, she worked over 30 years as a machinist for Muskegon Piston Ring. She had also worked as a licensed beautician earlier in her life. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a life member of the Women of the Moose Lodge where she attained the honor of Star Recorder. She was also known for her beautiful handknit sweaters. She enjoyed playing the organ and for years, was active with the Kitchen Rambler Band. SURVIVORS include her 3 children, Lois (Jim) Faulknor, Lewis (Connie) Pluger, Karen (Raymond) Panozzo all of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, Jeff Faulknor, Brian (Doris) Faulknor, Patricia (Ken) Vallier, Paul Pluger, Keith Panozzo, Mandy (Mike) Seiferlein, Jennifer (Mike) Chupailo, Michelle (Anthony Ganss) Panozzo; 3 great grandchildren, Carl Vallier, David Vallier and Mariah Panozzo; 2 brothers, Eldon Jacobs of Mt. Clemens, MI, Bernard (Rose) Jacobs of Ludington; 1 sister, Beatrice (Carl) Tobey of Fruitport; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, LaVerne Walker and Lorraine Veenstra, and 2 brothers, Lewis and Marvin Jacobs. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 7, 2006 at the Sytsema Funeral Home 737 Apple Avenue (231) 72605210 with Vicar Thomas Montgomery officiating. INTERMENT will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISTITATION with Bea's family will be 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
