Patricia Essenburg Haas

Patricia 'Pat' Jean (Essenburg) Haas, 81 years, of Ocala, FL went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, February 9, 2015.

She was born in Lansing, Michigan on September 16, 1933, daughter to the late Ken and Lola Wright. Pat was a pastor’s wife, homemaker and spent her life caring for and loving her children and church family.

In 1995 she lost her beloved husband of 45 years, Glenn Essenburg. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Robert Appling and Carl Haas.

Pat is survived by her children; Linda Boyd (Bob), Kurt Essenburg (LeeAnn), Rick Essenburg (Karen), Loren Essenburg (Pam), Julie Vruggink (Tim) and Becky Nordquist (Dave); 25 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sister, Jan Telling (Jerry) and brothers, Don Wright (Mary) and Tom Dawson (Jinx).

Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday (February 17) at the Immanuel Church, 325 104th Ave., with the Rev. Robert Terpstra officiating.

Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Youth Haven or Samaritan’s Purse.

Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Downtown Chapel.
