Arnold J. Cook, age 71, of Holland passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at his home.
Arnie retired from Versendaal-Lincoln-Mercury after 30 years of service. He was an avid cyclist, especially when Arnie and his wife went to Florida. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Arnie loved his grandkids, taking them on many vacations in their motorhome a.k.a. George the memory maker. He loved the grand dogs Juicy and Tyke.
He is survived by his wife Ruth and children: Jay Cook of Holland; Robin and Kirk Slater of Holland; grandchildren: Christian and Arianna Slater; brother and sister: George and Diane Cook of Bitely, MI, Jackie and Jim Buswell of Fort Mills, S.C.; sister-in-law: Judy and Pete Polka of Holland; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Dykstra Funeral Home – Northwood Chapel.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland or the American Cancer Society.
