Carolyn Van Huis

Carolyn Van Huis, age 76, of Allegan, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014.

Carolyn worked in the Creative Dining Department at Hope College many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 2013.

Surviving are her children; Doug Van Huis and Darcy Carpenter of Borculo, Patti and Scott DeVries of Borculo, and Steve Van Huis of Allegan; grandchildren, Erin Lambers, Casey and Josh Tubergan and Bobbi Stremmel; great grandchildren, Jennifer, Aariannah, Levi, and Payton; brother and sisters, Glenn and Cindy Nykamp of Zeeland, Joyce and Duane Baumgardner of Holland, Elaine and Norm Gerlach of Holland;

sister-in-law, Barb and Ken Strengholt of Holland;

many nephews, nieces and cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held, 7-9 pm, Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street.

Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery.
