Ambrose “Amby” Boudreau, 70, of Bradley passed away September 17, 2014 at University of Chicago Hospital in Chicago IL. He was born July 21, 1944 in Kankakee IL to Albert and Mabel (Regnier) Boudreau. Amby married the love his life, the former Linda Bultman, on April 16, 1966 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bradley IL. During his career at Bunge where he served many duties over the years, the most recent position was a Process Operator. He was employed there for an incredible 46 years and received his much earned retirement in 2012. He was a sports fan and particulary enjoyed the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. He was even an athlete himself being a long time bowler. Along with the long hours he spent at work all those years and taking care of his family he loved so very much, Amby learned at a young age how important it is to give back to his community he lived in and loved his entire life by putting his life on the line for 27 years as a fireman for the Bradley Fire Department. Amby was also an active member at Good Shepard Lutheran Church for many years.

Mr. Boudreau is survived by his wife Linda of Bradley IL, one son Allen (Tammy Reatherford) Boudreau of Bradley IL, one daughter Annette Boudreau of Duquoin IL, five grandchildren Brendan, Skyler, Max, Alexandria, and Amber. He is also survived by one great grandson William and one brother Francis (Eva) Boudreau of Hammond IN. He was proceded in death by his parents and one sister Marie Zych.

A gathering time for family and friends will be Tuesday September 23, 2014 from 3-8 p.m. at the Schreffler Life Story Funeral Home’s Bourbonnais Location. There will also be some gathering time on Wednesday September 24, 2014 one hour prior to the 10 a.m. celebration of Amby’s life funeral service at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Bourbonnais IL. Burial will follow the celebration at Maternity Cemetery in Bourbonnais. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the family’s wishes.
