Yvonne Kiel

Yvonne passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 in Kalamazoo, MI at the age of 75, after a courageous, seven year battle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was born on February 11, 1943 in Kalamazoo, MI, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Dorothy (Uhrick) Bouton and had been a lifelong area resident. Yvonne retired from The Upjohn Company after 35 years of service and then worked part time at RS Controls. Yvonne had a wide array of interests including roller skating, bowling and dancing. She also was an avid Sprint Car fan, enjoyed fishing, sewing and spoiling her hairy kids. Yvonne met John Kiel while roller skating and they were married on July 8, 1966. Yvonne is survived by her husband of 51 years, John; three children, Timothy Kiel of Mattawan, Darai (Blaine) Longjohn of Mattawan and Kimberly (Richard) Jones of Coldwater; three grandchildren, Trevor Kiel, David Jones and Devin Jones; a great-granddaughter, Rhylee Jones; and a sister, Janet Gendron of Kalamazoo. Yvonne's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Hallmark Living Kalamazoo (Heartland Health Care Center). Visitation will be held from 10 to 11AM on Saturday, June 2nd at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street, where services will begin at 11AM with Chaplain Jeff Schmidt, officiating.
