Wilma Seckel

Wilma Seckel, 76 of Portage, died September 27, 2018. Wilma was born April 12, 1942 in Bellingham, WA to the late William and Frances (Caldwell) Harris. She was united in marriage to Ronald L. Seckel in 1964. He preceded her in death in 1998. Wilma was an active member of her church, The Bridge, where she participated in many mission trips around the world. Her friends from The Bridge continued to support her during her final days. She spent her life giving, including spending five years as a Hospice volunteer at Rose Arbor. Survivors include her children, Kurtis Seckel, Kimberly (Bob) Slater and Kevin (Breonne) Seckel; grandchildren, Beth Ann Slater, David Lee Slater, Sofia Bleu Seckel and Gideon Grey Seckel (known as "GG" to Grammy); and brother, Gary (Marcia) Harris; and nieces and nephews. Wilma was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Harris. The family will have a gathering with friends on Saturday, October 27th at 11:00 am at the Huntington Run Club House, 6255 Cranbrook Lane, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
