Willie Clarence Bogan was born on Tuesday, March 31, 1942 to Clayton Bogan, Sr. and Charlotte "Smith" Bogan in Aberdeen, MS (Monroe County). At an early age, he confessed his life to Christ at Jolly Chapel M.B. Church. He later united in a union with his wife Katie Louise Walton in June 1966. He later relocated with his wife to Racine, Wl. Willie obtained a job at Consumer Steel, where he was employed for about 20 years. Willie later obtained a job at Goodwill, where he retired after being employed for 10 years. In 2007, after retiring, he enjoyed: fishing, playing cards, playing checkers, and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Willie was a family oriented man and he enjoyed helping others. Willie transitioned from the natural to the spiritual realm on Monday, June 19,2017 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints.

Willie was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Bogan, Sr. and his mother, Charlotte "Smith" Bogan. Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Louise Bogan. Willie was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Frank Bogan, Neal Bogan, Dezzie Bogan-Barr, and Clayton Bogan, Jr.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories his two brothers: Leon (Dorothy) Bogan, Sr., Marcell Barr Jr. brother in law of Okolona, MS and Christopher (Rhonda) Bogan, Ann Bogan sister in law of Racine, Wl. Willie also leaves behind two aunts: Maybeline Blackmon of Dorsey, MS and Aretha Abbott of Okolona, MS. Willie leaves behind three loving children: Terrence Bogan of Nettleton, MS, Sonya (Curry) Bogan of Plantersville, MS, and Shelly (Billy) Zinn of Plantersville, MS. Willie leaves his stepson, Lieeq Liggens of Racine, Wl. Willie leaves his God-son, Tiaje Morris of Memphis, TN. Willie also leaves behind 11 grandkids, 16 great-grandkids, and a host of nieces and nephews. Willie leaves two favorite cousins, Claude Hamilton, Sr. and Robert Abbott. Willie leaves his best friend, Henry Brown. Willie also leaves behind his Special Friend of 24 years, Ms. Toni Liggins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at Zoe Outreach Ministries, 2130 Racine Street, with Rev. Melvin Hargrove officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet Saturday at Zoe Outreach Ministries from 12:00 P.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M.
