William Morris

William A. Morris, 92, of Kalamazoo, MI went to be with his Lord and wife, Dorothyann, July 4, 2017. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Albert & Mable Morris and his loving wife, Dorothyann Renbarger-Morris. Bill is survived by his children, Floyd & Leta Morris, Jodi & Bill DeDoes, Randy & Jill Renbarger, Rusty & Sandy Renbarger, Ruth Olford, Shirley & Clare Ely, Rodney Renbarger, Michael & Lisa Morris and Timothy Morris. His grandchildren: AJ, Amanda, Claire, Dawn, Erica, Jai Twan, John, Kyle, Leah, Matt, Macaya, Meighann, Miles, Noah, Rachel, Rick and Tobin. He has many special great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry (Joyce) Morris and sister-in-law, Shirley (Bill) Grear. Bill proudly served four years, as Petty Officer 3rd Class in the United States Navy and thirty-four years in the Naval Reserve. He was a Mason, lifetime member of the VFW, member of the St. Timothy Episcopal Church and volunteered for twenty years at the Air Zoo in Portage, MI. Bill was a people person and was always gracious and kind to everyone he met. He loved his friends, boating, fishing, cribbage, pool, Sudoku, the enjoyable activities, as well as the staff and friends made at Heritage Assisted Living Community and ice cream. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. Timothy Episcopal Church, 9800 East BC Avenue, Richland, MI 49083. Contributions may be made to the Bill Morris Air Zoo Fund for a special trip for the Heritage Residents to the Air Zoo or to Oaklawn Hospital Hospice.
