William Francis Beyer, “Bill”, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017, at Ascension All Saints Hospital. He was born in Racine, April 3, 1946, son of the late Albert and Lillian (Nee: Pier) Beyer.

Bill graduated from St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1964” and earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison. On April 23, 1966 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Kathleen M. Mattes. Bill had been employed with IBM, McDonnell Douglas, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and retired after 17 years with All Saints Hospital in 2009. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge and the Johnson Park Men’s Golf League. Bill was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed a round of golf, a hand of cards and a good game of cribbage. Above all he treasured the time spent with his family. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Kathy; his three girls, Lisa (James) Hollow of Racine, Christine Cotter of Racine, Kimberly (Matthew) Klug of Waunakee; 8 grandchildren, Jim Hollow, Jessica (Brian) Amann, Ryan and Emily Hollow, Hannah and Zachary Cotter, Mitchell and Collin Klug; a great granddaughter, Madison Amann; siblings, Marilyn Sell, Barbara (Dr. Richard) Albertini, Gerald (Patricia) Beyer; in-laws, Marian Beyer, Timothy (Pam) Mattes, Jane (Dennis) Van De Hey; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Donald (Beverly) and Richard and a brother-in-law, Howard Sell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 28, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1533 Erie St., with Reverend Steve Varghese officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday at church 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or St. Catherine’s High School have been suggested.
