William Caro

CARO, WILLIAM V. Portage William passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the age of 99. William was born March 11, 1918 in Kalamazoo, MI to the late Nick and Pansey (Telford) Caro. William was united in marriage to Madeline Gave who preceded him in death on January 20, 2007. He was also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Katherine Sinclair. William is survived by his children, Lois Caley, Darwin Caro and Durwood Caro; 11 grandchildren; many great children; several great-great grandchildren; siblings, Frank (Nancy) Caro and Virginia (Bill) Haines; sisters-in-law, Mary Gave and Sally Gave; and nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his siblings, Vick, Tony, Roy and Teresa. The family will greet friends on Monday, January 8th from 1-3pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street., where a funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 9th at 1:00pm. A private burial will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South.
