Wayne passed away on January 6, 2019. He was born on January 2, 1938 in Kalamazoo, MI a son of Max and Eleanor (Weberg) Mitchell and was a lifelong area resident. Surviving are a son, Kurt (Chrissy) Mitchell; 2 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8PM on Thursday, January 10th at Oshtemo United Methodist Church, 6574 Stadium Drive, where a memorial service will be held at 11AM on Friday, January 11th. Graveside services will be held at 1PM on Friday in Mount Everest Memorial Park, South. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Boy Scouts of America https://donations.scouting.org/#/national/.
