Wayne, friend to all and retired city electrical inspector, had a passion for nature, love of music, corny sense of humor, and strong sense of independence and conviction. He spent much of his life in pursuit of the ever-elusive "good deal". Born in May of 1946, Wayne passed August, 11 2017 at the age of 71. In his final days, he offered a toast "Here's to summer!" by enjoying the presence of his wife, daughter, and her family. Before moving to Kalamazoo in his 30's, where he worked for 35 years as an electrical inspector for the city, he lived in the St. Joseph/Benton Harbor area. Wayne attended Benton Harbor High and later Lake Michigan College where he was a brother in the Fi Beta Kappa fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army as a radioman during the Korean War. When he returned home from service he met and married Joan (Sullivan) Cutler. Together they produced one child, Kelly (Cutler) Kirk. Kelly and her husband Tony have provided Wayne with a grandchild, Liam Kirk. In April 2012, Wayne was united in marriage with Kathy (Griffith) Cutler. He provided love and guidance to his step-daughters Amanda Linsky and Stephanie Spicer. He became a grandpa to 5 charming children: AJ and Braxton Linsky, Kobi and Destiny Sutton, and Cala Spicer. In addition, he gained many nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Kelly & Myrtle (Chestnut) Cutler, his uncle Ray Cutler, as well as half siblings Dwight Cutler and Marylian (Cutler) Hammond. A memorial will be held at a later date. To view Wayne's personalized guestbook please visit www.langelands.com.
