Mr. Walter Drenth aged 94, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 and entered into his heavenly rest. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther. Surviving are his children: Daniel Drenth, Carol and Wayne James, Ellen and Mike Lenihan, Paul and Cindy Drenth, his grandchildren: Kelly Drenth, Paul (Jodi) Drenth Jr., Sheri Drenth, Rachael Krueger; sisters-in-law, Henrietta Baas and Harriett Meekhof; and nieces and nephews. Walter served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was stationed in Europe. Funeral and committal services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11 AM at the chapel of Raybrook Manor of the Holland Home, 2121 Raybrook Ave. SE, where the relatives and friends may meet the family from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service. For those who wish, memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, to either Faith Hospice or the Holland Home would be appreciated.
