Virginia passed away April 4, 2017 at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home in South Carolina after living with her daughter Kathy and son-in-law Cliff in the Charleston, SC area.

Virginia was born on March 8, 1922 in Spencer, Wisconsin at her Uncle Harley's farm and was raised in Marshfield by her late parents Michael Wellner and Bess Wellner (Nee: Fenhouse).

She married her husband of 70 years, Joseph, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Racine in 1940.

Virginia was active in St. Paul's Catholic Church where she participated in the choir as well as the clown club. "Jingles" also clowned in Racine at various events and hospitals. She was active in the Jefferson School PTA, Girl Scouts, and Racine Children's Theatre, volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital, and was involved in the YMCA Boy's Choir as a chaperone to a trip to Washington, DC.

Virginia is survived by her children, Judy (Gene) Dunk; Marilyn (Dave) Dargin; Kathy (Cliff) Spear; and Michael (Linda) Seitz. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2010 and her son Joseph Michael in 1950. She had many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Private services were held and interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation have been suggested.

Virginia always said, "Always Leave ’Em Laughing" so think of her twinkling eyes, mischievous spirit, and laugh!
