Surrounded by her loving family, Violet Mary Margaret Sanders, age 92, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. Violet was born in Racine, May 13, 1925, daughter of the late Frank and Idabelle (Nee: VanBree) Miller.

On March 4,1947, she was united in marriage to William W. Sanders who preceded her in death, June 16, 2010. She and William owned and operated Sanders Paint and Wallpaper Company with their family. Violet loved animals and gambling, especially trips to Vegas. Above all she loved and devoted her life to her family.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Bernie Sanders, Bobbie Wahlen, Barry (Nancy) Sanders, Buddy Sanders, Brett Sanders. 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Joan) Miller; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat (John) Mueller, Mavis Sanders; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Billy (Cheryl), and daughter-in-law, Kim.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 22, 2017, 11:30 A.M. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue, with Rev. Rich O’Leary OSA officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society, 4500 West Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53208 or to the Alzheimer’s Association have been suggested.
