Vida Groth

Age 87, passed away on Sept. 1, 2019. Vida was born Jan. 12, 1932 in Traverse City, the daughter of the late Elmer and Iva (Souders) Johnson. Vida was committed to her family and a hard worker. She retired from Western Michigan University. Vida was widowed twice, by her husband, William Abendroth and husband, William Groth. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Commissaris and brother, Elmer Johnson. Vida is survived by her children, Kathy and Brian Abendroth; sister, Beverly Parker; brother, William (Nancy) Johnson and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Vida's life will take place at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park North.
