Vincenza Veronica Rizzo Kelly
December 11, 1927 – May 1, 2018
Veincenza Veronica was born December 11, 1927 the second of four children of George and Stella Rizzo of Bronx, New York.
She grew up in Valley Stream, NY and graduated from high school at the age of 16. She worked for many years in banking as an executive secretary and a notes and collections clerk. She retired from CVS drug store in 1992.
She married John (Jack) Kelly on December 26, 1960 and they had one daughter, Noreen. Veronica was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and Frank Sinatra. She enjoyed knitting, going to the ocean and growing plants and flowers for her yard.
She is survived by her daughter: Noreen; grandchildren: John (Chelsea Foupht) and Bill Tiller; best friend: Arline Peeters; 12 Rizzo/Smalley nieces and nephews and their families; her extended Boccalino and D’Amico cousins; her grandcat Max and great granddog Miya; and of course her friends and neighbors from over the years in Michigan and New York.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Jack Kelly; her sister: Tina Smalley; brothers: John and George Rizzo; and two nieces and a nephew.
