Age 62, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 as a result of an accident. Valinda was born in Kalamazoo on January 31, 1955, the daughter of the late Albert and Emily (Bakker) Cole. She was one of nine children. On June 26, 1976, she was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Travis, who survives. Valinda is also survived by her only son, Kevin (Bree) Travis; three grandchildren, Trenton, Rhiannon and Tomos Travis; siblings, Albert Cole, Jr., Danny Cole, Alline (Rex) Shilts, Emma Jean Phares, Virgel (Sandy) Cole and Tammy Keeler; as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. In addition to her parents, Valinda was preceded in death by her brothers, David and Charles Cole. A time of visitation will take place at Joldersma and Klein Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM.
