Tyrell “Terry” J. Wenszell, age 91, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018. He was born in Racine, WI on July 8, 1926, son of the late Alfred and Irene (Nee: Langenfeld) Wenszell. He was a proud graduate of St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1944”.

He proudly served in the United States Army toward the end of WWII stationed in the Philippines and Japan. On October 10, 1959 at St. Edward Catholic Church, Terry was united in marriage to Carol M. Carlson who preceded him in death on June 26, 2015. He retired from the Wisconsin Natural Gas Company in September, 1991 after 37 years of service. Terry was a longtime dedicated member of St. Rita Catholic Church, and sang in their choir. An avid golfer and bowler, he also enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, and flowers throughout his yard.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Maureen (Dan) Quella of Racine, Lisa (Michael) Dawson of Union Grove; grandchildren, Calli (David) Reed, and Caitlin Quella, Alexander and Lindsay Dawson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rick Tully of New Lisbon, Jackie Carlson of FL, Lawrence Carlson of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Al (Jean) Wenszell, sister Virginia (Arthur) Olson, brother Robert (Sherry) Wenszell, and sister Rose (Wayne) Legois.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Friday, June 29, 2018, 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 P.M. Private entombment with full military honors will be held at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Memorials to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or one’s favorite charity have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staffs at Ascension All Saints Hospital and Hospice Alliance for their compassionate care.
