Passed away Sunday morning, October 8, 2023. Tom was born August 31, 1951 in New Castle, IN the son of Loral and Donna (Green) Bennett. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as gunsmith/ gun salesman and also enjoyed football officiating. He was often traveling and camping. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, golfing, hunting, fishing and shooting.
On September 11, 1971 Tom was united in marriage to his loving wife Judith (Johnson), who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Jennifer (Jim) Branch, Jessica (Gary) Brown; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Branch, JulieAnn Branch, James "Jimmy" Branch III, Kaitlyn Brown, and Emma Brown; his brother, John Bennett; and several nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; mother, Donna (Green) Langeland; father, Loral Bennett; step-father, Harold Langeland; and brother, James Bennett. Friends may meet the family from 2:00-4:00pm Wednesday, October 18 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 for a memorial gathering to celebrate Tom's life.
