Theresa A'Hearn

A'HEARN - Therese Grady A'Hearn of Palm Desert, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2009. She was born March 19, 1929, to Josephine and Stafford Grady in Grand Rapids, MI. After graduating from St. Mary's Nursing School in 1951, Therese moved to Los Angeles and began a decades long career as a registered nurse. In 1956 she married Ted A'Hearn and together raised four children, Erin, James, Megan (Frank), and Michael (Tracy). Therese and Ted retired to Palm Desert in 1995 and enjoyed new friends and hobbies. In addition to her husband of 52 years and children, she leaves behind four wonderful grandchildren, Brittany, Patrick, Connor and James who shared many laughs and special times with "Granny." She is also survived by her siblings, Stafford, Patricia, Jim (Georgia), Sidney Mae (Robert) and David (Joyce); many nieces and nephews from across the United States and countless friends. Therese will be deeply missed as she touched so many lives with her warm heart and caring manner. Visitation/Rosary will be held Thursday, January 22, from 5 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral mass celebrating her life is scheduled for Friday, January 23, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in La Quinta, California.
