Thelma "Dolly" Krusinga

Thelma L. "Dolly" Krusinga, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the age of 90. Dolly was born December 13, 1927 in Kalamazoo to the late Charles and Henrietta (Weenink) LaRoy. Dolly was united in marriage to Roy Krusinga, Jr. on September 18, 1946, who preceded her in death on December 3, 2014. Dolly was a member of Twin Lakes Reformed Church and was the church organist for many years. She loved to travel with Roy and friends around the country. They had many fun adventures in Florida and up north at Drummond Island. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and will be missed by many. A leopard at heart, Dolly was full of spunk and energy. Dolly is survived by her children, Sharon Krusinga and Randy (Lynda) Krusinga; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn Dow and Luella (Harm) Doorlag; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin, Alfred, Edwin, Arlon and Maynard LaRoy. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, December 20th from 5-8pm and for 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday, from 10-11am at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, where the funeral service will be Thursday, December 21st at 11:00am. Pastor Ron Lugten will officiate. Memorial donations may be directed to Grace Valley Assisted Living.
