Terry Terhune

Terry passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born December 21, 1949 in Marion, Indiana, the son of Stephen and Lois (Seeger) Terhune. Terry graduated from Marion High School where he was class president. He went on to graduate from Purdue University where he served as president of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Terry had owned and operated The Fireside Restaurant and Lounge in Otsego for 20 years until his retirement in 2013. He loved golfing and spent many hours on the greens at Prairiewood Golf Course. He had been the president of the Prairiewood Neighborhood HOA for many years. Terry was a big sports fan and enjoyed following the Bears, Tigers and Blackhawks. He also enjoyed attending Purdue football games with his brothers, John and Steve. Terry was strong- willed and a fighter, the strongest man his children ever knew. He had a great sense of humor and his one-liners will be greatly missed. Surviving are his children, Trisha Gesmundo and her children, Canyon and Kaia; Stephen Nathaniel Terhune and Gina Terhune along with his siblings, Stephanie Bessett, Steve Terhune, Jane Ann DuLong and John Terhune. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 17, 2018, with a time of sharing memories starting at 12:00 P.M., at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego.
