Terri Cartwright

Cartwright, Terri A. Kalamazoo, Michigan Terri Ann Cartwright, age 63, died on February 27, 2021. She was born February 17, 1958, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Richard and Barbara (Haveman) VanderVeen. Terri was a 1976 graduate of Comstock High School. She worked for many years as a medical assistant at Borgess Hospital and later with The Surgical Group, and was more recently working at Paris Cleaners. Terri had attended Country Christian Evangelical Free Church in Scotts. She was a beautiful, kind, and caring woman who considered you a lifelong friend after the first meeting. Terri made beautiful quilts and blessed people with her creations. She enjoyed camping with her family and spending time with her dogs. Her family includes her children: Matt (Gail) Salisbury, Adam Salisbury, Eric Salisbury, and Angela (Jon) Ekema; her mother, Barbara (Haveman, VanderVeen) Hunt; her fiancee Chris Burgett; her step-children: Matthew (Rachel) Cartwright and Adam Cartwright; her grandchildren: Rileigh, Mason, Carson, Jacklynn, Weston, Jacob, Eleanor, Brianna, Peityn, and one due in October; her brothers and sister: Rick (Sonja) VanderVeen, Douglas (Rhonda) VanderVeen, and Michelle (David) Skinner; several nieces and nephews; her children's father, Donald Salisbury and his parents, Jack and Ann Salisbury. Terri was preceded in death by her second husband Stanley Cartwright, her step-father Wayne Hunt, her father Richard VanderVeen, and her step-mother Betty VanderVeen. A private visitation and funeral will be held at Country Christian Evangelical Free Church, 9286 South 36th Street, Scotts, MI, 49088, with burial at Boughton Cemetery.
