Transitioned this life on August 8, 2006. She was born May 31, 1978, the beloved daughter of Artelia Spurlock Cummings, of Kalamazoo; Jackie Robinson-Harris, of Battle Creek, and step-father, Michael S. Cummings, of Indianapolis, IN. Tatisha graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1996, and Olympia Career Training Institute. She was employed with SBC as a Sales Representative. Tatisha received Christ at a very early age and was a member of Christian Life Center, under the ministry of Pastor Joel A. Brooks. She was a beautiful, intelligent, creative, Godly and wonderful young lady. She was a loving mother and enjoyed caring for her 2 daughters, Na'Kiyya and Niajha, both of Kalamazoo. She also enjoyed traveling and reading. Tatisha will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. She filled the world with sunshine. Now she surely lights the heavens with a radiant light that will never go out. Tatisha was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jimmie Spurlock Sr.; paternal grandfather, Frank Robinson Sr., and uncle, Pfc. Orlando Spurlock. Tatisha is survived by her daughters; and parents; her grandparents, Rev. Della Spurlock (Robert) Redding and Margaret Robinson, all of Kalamazoo; 3 brothers, Jackie Porter, of Kalamazoo, Jackie Aubrey, of Dallas, TX, and Michael Stewart, of Detroit; aunts, Betty Robinson, of Kalamazoo, Joyce (Floyd) Robinson, of Atlanta, GA, Dorothy Spurlock, of Ann Arbor, Mary (Ben) Ware, and Barbara Spurlock, of Kalamazoo, Crystal Spurlock-Beeks, of Gary, IN, Gaynela Spurlock, and Bessie M. (Cleophas) Palmore, all of Kalamazoo, and Sigrun Spurlock, of Florida; uncles, LeRoy (Gertie) Robinson, Frank (Ida) Robinson Jr., Ricky Robinson, and Mark (Julie) Robinson, all of Kalamazoo, Donald (Debra) Watson, of Dallas, TX, Clarence Spurlock, of Lansing, Jimmie Spurlock Jr., of Kalamazoo and Roosevelt Spurlock, of Houston, TX; godmother, Karen Sheppard Gray, of Kalamazoo, and a special friend, Ronald McCall, of South Bend, IN; also, a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held 12 Noon Monday, August 14, 2006, with an 11:00 a.m. Family Hour at Christian Life Center, 1225 W. Patterson Street, Kalamazoo, MI, Pastor Ervin Armstrong officiating. Friends may view 3-6 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2006 at the Harper Funeral Home, 521 Douglas Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
