Life Story / Obituary

Print

Tammy graduated from Plainwell High School with the Class of 1986. She then went on to receive a certificate in tourism to become a travel agent. She was employed for many years with Witte Travel in Grand Rapids. Tammy loved her job and her coworkers.

Tammy’s happiest time in her life was the many years she spent with Larry. Larry and Tammy had a small farm in Martin where they had chickens, a garden and their three dogs. Larry and Tammy spent a lot of time making memories on various trips they took.

Tammy also loved to cook, and was an amazing baker. She made cakes and cupcakes for many different gatherings.

Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Tammy, knew that she was a kind and caring soul. She would do anything for anyone, never expecting anything in return.

Although Tammy did not have any kids of her own, each child in Tammy’s life held a very special place in her heart. She was an “auntie” to a lot of children, especially Kendallynn and Kenny. She had many close friends and family members that she enjoyed spending time with. She was also very close with her cousin Cindy and thought of Cindy’s family as her own.

Sadly, on January 8, 2017, Tammy left us unexpectedly. She was preceded in death by her parents Dennis and Sandy Wallace. She is survived by her two brothers Tom (Joan) and Tim (Jenny) and their families, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her two closest friends; her cousin Cindy Wallace and best friend Diana Head. She also leaves behind several other friends, coworkers that she met along her journey.

Life will never be the same without Tammy, but she leaves us with some amazing memories.

Memorial luncheon gathering will be held Friday 13th, 2017 at 12:00 at the Cooper Township Hall for friends and family.
