Mike Thomas, 79, of Paw Paw, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 10, 2018, in Belmont, Michigan. He was born in St. Joseph, MI, on September 30, 1939, son of Theodore Henry Thomas and Anna Marie Thomas. Mike graduated from Michigan State University and went on to Ohio State University to graduate with his Master's Degree in Horticulture. He was the MSU Cooperative Extension Service Horticultural Agent for Southwest Michigan for 35 years in Paw Paw. He served and supported all farmers of SW Michigan and was a world wide agricultural specialist after his retirement. He and his wife were married for 58 years and members of St. Mary's Catholic Church for over 40 years. Mike was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, a Village Planning Commission Member, and a full time friend to anyone in need. He loved people and he had a knack for taking care of those who needed him, including a foster parent to so many. He had a wonderful full life playing golf, dancing, fixing, and loving his family. Surviving are Wife, Carol Thomas; Sons, Tim (Kim) Thomas and Tom Thomas; Daughters, Terry (Kelly) Younker and Carin (Kris) Brenner; Grandchildren, Max Thomas, Shannon (Alex) Cook, Jack Thomas, Ian Thomas, Isaac Younker, Molly Younker, Cray Brenner, and Luke Brenner; Sisters, Margaret Silverthorn, Mary Sue (Dan) Tegels, Anne (Tom) Traugh; Brother, David (Dee Dee) Thomas, and a host of other loving family and friends. Theodore was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bobbie Dahlstron. Friends will be received at Adams Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Paw Paw, MI, Sunday, December 16, 2018, from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Additional visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Monday, December 17, 2018, from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm followed immediately by a Service Mass beginning at 1:00 pm with Father Joseph Xavier officiating.
