Suzanne Genevieve Peterson

Suzanne Geneviéve (Dubruylle) Peterson (87). Surrounded by her family passed away peacefully after fighting a hard battle with Alzheimer’s and colon cancer on August 11, 2017 at Timber Oaks, Union Grove, Wisconsin. She was born in Bagneux, France, October 31, 1930. She was the daughter of Charles Andre Dubruylle and Genevieve Hy-Dubruylle from Bagneux, France.

Suzanne and her two youngest sons (Jacques and Patrick) came to live in Racine in 1971. Suzi (Frenchy) was a popular and well loved waitress in many restaurants in Racine in her younger years. She loved being with her friends (Betty, Frenchy and many others) going to the Casino and playing BINGO. She was also an attentive caregiver to a few affluent families in Racine after she retired from waitressing.

Survivors include:Son, George and wife (Patricia Ann (Nee: Brackhahn) Pissard of Waterford, WI;Grandson, Jeremy Leon and Christina (Nee: Kusters) Pissard of Racine, WI;Great Grandchildren, Ashley Pissard and Alyssa Pissard, Tyler McCabe, Kayla McCabe;Granddaughter, Kristal Danielle Pissard of Racine, WI;Great Grandchildren, Ciera Murae Jones, Kaydence Murae Jones, Jessie Murae Tanner;Granddaughter, Dominique Suzanne Pissard of Racine, WI;Great Grandchildren, Catera Monique Beal, Cashmen Rashawn Beal, Joseph John Robert Muto;Great Grandchild, Milanie James Spinks;Grandson, Jacques Louis Andre Pissard, Jr., Kenosha, WIGreat Grandchildren, Chase Pissard, Jacob Pissard;and all other family and relatives in the US and in France.

Suzi was preceded in death by her son’s Jacques Louis Pissard of Racine, WI and Patrick Michael Pissard of Racine, WI. and Great Granddaughter Narissa Pissard.

The Pissard family would like to thank staff members, (Sherman, Vicki, Jacki, Tracy, Sandy, Randy, Candance, Cindy, and Liz, NP, and Dr. Kim) and all other caring staff at Timber Oaks and Oak Ridge for their never ending personal and loving care for Suzi during her stay. Terry Waluch (Care Manager) and Laura Hansen (RN Care Manager) both from My Choice Family Care. To the many doctors and nurses from Aurora Burlington Hospital for all their time and assistance while Suzi was in your care. We would also like to thank all the loving care given from the caring staff (Heather, Diane and Kathy) of Seasons Hospice Foundation. All of you were a ‘beacon of light’ in our lives and in Suzi’s during her stay. We have hearts of gratitude. Thank you and God Bless each one of you.

Family, relatives and friends may meet at Maresh-Meredith-Acklam funeral home on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 3-6 pm, at 803 Main Street, Racine, WI 53403. Private interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery, Tuesday, August 22, 2017.
