Susanne Marie Doe

Susanne Marie Doe (nee: Sperduto) passed away at age 72 from lung cancer at Lakeshore Manor on Saturday January 21, 2017. Sue was born on January 28, 1944 in Canandaigua, New York to Rev Frank and Ruth Roth Sperduto. She grew up in Syracuse and Ithaca, New York and Wichita, Kansas. She was a graduate of SE High in Wichita in 1962. She attended the College of Emporia and finished her undergrad at MIT in Milwaukee. She met Keith at MIT and they were married June 11, 1966. Sue earned her Master’s of Education in Nursing at Milton College. Her early nursing roles included visiting nursing and mental health. Later she taught nursing at St Luke’s School of Nursing in Racine, Gateway and UW-Parkside, and was also a parish nurse. Sue is survived by her husband Keith, and daughters Jen (Tim) Figlmiller, Robyn (Jason) Gardner, Heidi (Ernesto) Lopez, brother Ted (Mary) Sperduto, nephews Aaron and Tim, grandchildren Ian and Evan Figlmiller, Jordyn and Madilynn Gardner, Xavier and Isandro Lopez, sister-in-law Sigrid Doe and niece Christina . Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, beloved aunts and uncles, and her brother-in-law James Doe. Sue loved people, she cared for and helped anyone she met. Sue drew personalized greeting cards and enjoyed providing humor to everyday life. Family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Lakeshore Manor for the care they provided Sue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. A private service for family will be held.
