Steven Streur

Steven Richard Streur, age 64, passed away on April 27, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. Although no longer on earth, Steve’s smile and goofy sense of humor will live on forever. His children were a great source of pride for him, and while he was a man of few words, he always made sure they knew it.

Steve loved sitting next to the fire, listening to music, spending time with family, telling stories, and driving dirt roads with his son. He also always had candy on hand, which his grandkids loved, along with his awesome hugs. Steve worked in marine construction, as a crane operator, for most of his life.

Steve is survived by his children, Danielle (Jimmie) Weeks, Nancy (Darrius) Hines, and his favorite, Joshua Streur. Steve was blessed with eight grandkids who he loved dearly, Jordan, Mariyah, Taaya, Izaiah, Annabelle, Abreyana, Reese and Bentley. He is also survived by his siblings, Cheryl (Larry) Drew, Nina (Tom) Zych, Laurie (Al) Sturgeon, and Doug Streur, many nieces and nephews, and several lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Shelby Streur, as well as his sisters, Cathy VonIns and Nancy McKinnon, and nieces and nephews.

We love you, and as you always said, “we’ll talk to you next time we talk”.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 23, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at the Maatman Center, 669 Harrington Ave., Holland, MI 49423.
