Steve Gianakis

Age 66, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. Steve was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on April 27, 1953, the son of Andrew and Peggy (Drikakis) Gianakis. He was employed by the Checker Motor Company for over 30 years. Steve was an avid hunter and enjoyed working on cars, cooking and bowling. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen D. (Sutton) Gianakis; son, Nick (Kim) Gianakis; mother, Peggy Gianakis; grandson, Dylan Rabb; brother, George (Kathy) Gianakis; sister, Kathy (Scott) Andrews; nieces and nephews, George (Melanie), Amie (Frank), Tony (Danielle), Stephanie (Shaun), Brad (Amber) and Kristina (Eric); as well as several great-nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Andrew in October of 2007. A memorial visitation will be held at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
