Sherri Day

Sherri Lynn Day, age 61, of Kalamazoo passed away Monday morning, January 15, 2018. Sherri was born February 7, 1956 in Kalamazoo the daughter of the late James and Helen (Blaauw) Reinhart and was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. Sherri had been an employee of Wal-Mart on Shaver Road for over 10 years. She enjoyed watching family comedies, listening to music, visiting classic car shows, and indulging her sweet tooth with ice cream. Sherri had a special place in her heart for animals, particularly her late cat, Boomer, and her best friend's dog, Daisy. Sherri is survived by her children, Kelli Day and Terry Day Jr.; four grandchildren, Kody Day, Terry Day III, Joseph Day, and George Day; a brother, Jim Reinhart; several nieces and a great niece; and her best friend and heart's sister, Sandra Mullins. A memorial service to celebrate Sherri's life will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, January 20 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. A time of fellowship will follow in the Langeland Family Centre. Friends may meet the family from 12:00-1:00 prior to the service and also immediately after during the fellowship. Private interment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the SPCA or the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
