Sheila Ellen Ryan (Collentine), 64, passed into eternal rest in March 2017 at her home in Spokane, Washington. She had fought a long battle with diabetes and other health issues.

Sheila Ellen was born in Racine, Wisconsin on October 21, 1952 to Sheila A. Collentine and the late Joseph P. “Monk” Collentine. She graduated from St. Catherine’s High School and later achieved her Master’s degree from Eastern Washington University. She had a successful career in banking and insurance underwriting. Sheila enjoyed corny romance novels and lattes from Starbuck’s. But the thing she liked most of all, was to spend as much time as she could with her grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Jennifer Menzer and husband, Corey of Spokane, Washington and her granddaughters Claire and Annika. She is survived by her mother, Sheila, sister, Patricia Chevis (Bruce), and her three brothers, Timothy Collentine (Nancy), John Collentine (Cindi), and William Collentine (Nancy). Sheila Ellen also leaves behind her longtime companion, Jack Weber.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated jointly for Sheila Ellen and her father, Joseph P. “Monk” Collentine on Saturday, March 25, 2017, 10:30 A.M. at St. Richard’s Catholic Church, 1509 Grand Ave. with Reverend Allen Bratkowski officiating. Visitation with family will be from 9 A.M. until time of Mass at 10:30 A.M. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials go to the Menzer Family for Claire and Annika’s education through Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St., Racine, WI, 53403.
