Sarah Viola Bradford died Thursday, July 23, 2020. She was born October 21, 1932 in England, AR a daughter of Houston and Delphia (Oxner) Talley. Sarah grew up on a cotton farm in rural Arkansas then moved to Michigan in the 1950's. She worked for nearly 30 years at Gibson Guitar Comany in Kalamazoo, working in almost every department in the plant during her time there. When Gibson moved to Nashville, TN, Sarah went to work for Consumer's Sand & Gravel where she worked in the office until her retirement. Sarah loved to travel with Jim, her husband of 59 years. They saw most of the continental United States by car. She especially enjoyed going with Jim to hear him play fiddle with Rem Wall and the Green Valley Boys. In her later years after Jim passed, she still enjoyed getting in the car and just going for a drive. She enjoyed crafts, especially beading, and made many beaded necklaces and other jewelry that she sold at craft shows or just gave to her friends. She also loved doing puzzles and playing games, especially in her later years with her friends at Story Point Senior Apartments. Sarah was a devout Christian and enjoyed going to church when she was able and enjoyed watching Dr. Charles Stanley on TV when she couldn't attend in person. On November 21, 1953, Sarah married James C. Bradford who preceded her in death on March 1, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Narvel Talley and Mary Foor; and sister-in-law, Clara Clark. Sarah is survived by her son, Michael (Mary Beth) Bradford, and Brian Bradford; grandsons, David Bradford, and Thomas (Sarah) Bradford; brothers in law Coy (Hazel) Bradford, Donald (Linda) Bradford, and Dale (Sandy) Bradford; and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11:00 Thursday morning, July 30, 2020 in Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park, North.
