Sandra B. Hoeksema

Age 80, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Lee Memorial Hospital in Cape Coral, Florida with her husband and daughters by her side. Sandra was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 16, 1938, the daughter of the late John Willard and Ruth (Visser) Jacobitz. She was a former member of Faith Reformed Church and current member of Lakeland Reformed Church. Sandra enjoyed cooking, bowling, playing cards and especially spending time with her family. On September 26, 1958, she married Gordon Hoeksema who survives. Sandra is also survived by her daughters, Sue (Ken) Griffioen and Linda Hoeksema; grandchildren, Rebecca (David) Archer and John Griffioen; three beloved great-granddaughters, Abigail, Ellie and Nora Archer; brother, John (Rennae) Jacobitz; sister, Marilyn (Russ) VanDenBos; and sister-in-law, Kathy Jacobitz. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her brother, James Jacobitz. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Lakeland Reformed Church, 10442 S. Sprinkle Rd., Vicksburg, MI 49097; Pastor Ed Schmidt officiating. A time of visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the service.
