Ruth Ernestine (Cadwell) Walloth, daughter of Ernest R. and S. Reathal (Craft) Cadwell was born May 6, 1919 at home in Ridge, Montana. Ruth completed her Bachelor's Degree at Spearfish, South Dakota, and taught for several years in a one room school house and several smaller schools. Ruth taught for over 20 years as an elementary school teacher, and retired from Gertrude Burns Elementary School in Newcastle, Wyoming, where she taught second grade.

On June 12, 1942, she was united in marriage to Leo Walloth. Four children were born to Ruth and Leo. They lived in Eastern Montana and Western South Dakota until 1961 when they moved to Newcastle, Wyoming. Ruth was a member of the Assembly of God Church there, serving as Sunday School teacher, Missionette Leader, Women's Ministries Leader and on the Board of Trustees.

Ruth suffered several strokes during the last six months while living with her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and John Thompson in Kingsley, Michigan, until peacefully going to be with her Lord on Monday, January 19, 2015. Some of Ruth’s greatest joys in life were spending time with her family, meeting all of her 11 great-grandchildren, baking, cooking, gardening and encouraging many family, friends, and neighbors. In the last few years of her life, Ruth enjoyed the outdoors as well as attending numerous music events, not missing a single one until her health kept her at home. A Music Celebration to honor her life will be held at the Thompsons in the spring.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Leo; her parents, Ernest and Reathal; one son, Timothy; one son-in-law, Albert Schueler; two sisters, Thelma and Evelyn; and two brothers, Francis and Gilbert.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn (John) Thompson of Kingsley, Michigan; Ruth Schueler of Ceylon, Minnesota; and Kathleen (Joseph) Imholt of Marysville, Washington. Also surviving are two sisters, Grace McKnight of Hastings, Michigan, and Carol Mattern of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and one brother, Philip Cadwell of Three Forks, Montana; six grandchildren: Kent Mills, Janice Ensing, Marilee Sando, Nathan Schueler, Sarah Barci and Janae DeLong; eleven great grandchildren and numerous friends and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, February 5th from 5-7pm at Worden Funeral Home in Newcastle, Wyoming. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6th at 10:30 AM at Weston County Senior Citizens Center in Newcastle, with Rev. Ron Sample officiating. Music will be provided by Ruth Ann Schueler, Carolyn and John Thompson. Lunch will be served following the memorial service. The graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, under direction of Worden Funeral Directors of Newcastle, Wyoming.

A Traverse City/Kingsley celebration of life will be held later. Life Story Funeral Home, Traverse City handled the local arrangements.
