Ruth Austin, age 85 of Plainwell went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2016 at Life Care Center with family by her side. Ruth was born on March 17, 1930 to Lewis & Ethel (Campbell) Lamphere. Visit with her family and friends on Thursday, March 17 from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Life Story Funeral Home, Plainwell; 120 Woodhams St. (685-5881). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 18 at 10:00 a.m. at the same location. Ruth’s family includes her children: Mary (Rex) Rouse, Arlene (Kerry) Keith, Dolly (Dave) Nicholson, Betty (Dan) Dennany, Tammy Austin, Roger (Jamie) Austin, Gary (Sharon) Austin, Brian (Kathy) Austin; 24 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren (with 3 on the way), 2 great great grandchildren (with 1 on the way) as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, Harold; her siblings: Leona, Teddy, Shirley, Bill, Doris and Bob and her children: Clifford and Dennis. Memorial donations can be made to the Life Care Center Activities Program.
