Rudy Buentello

Age 67, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. Rudy was born July 6, 1945, the son of Pete and Petra Buentello. Rudy served in the U.S. Army. He was formerly employed by Coca-Cola in Paw Paw, Soret Chevrolet in Decatur, and Decatur Public Schools. He married Kiyoko Kinjo on August 13, 1968 in Naha, Okinawa, Japan, and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Patricia (Travis) Lippman of Chicago, IL; four sons, Jerry (Amber) Buentello of Round Rock, TX, John (Barbara) Buentello of Decatur, Rudy Buentello of Jacksonville, FL, Antonio Buentello of Portage, MI; 14 grandchildren, one great-grandson; mother, Olivia Buentello of Austin, TX; sister, Yolanda Green of Austin, TX; and a brother, Alex Buentello of Portage, MI. Friends may call Thursday, May 16, 2013, 5-8 PM in the Newell Funeral Home, Decatur, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, with Mr. James Abshagen officiating. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery, Decatur, with Military Rites conducted by VFW Celery City Post #6248 and American Legion Post #309, both of Decatur. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation in Victoria, TX.
