Ronald Haskell, Jr.

Ronald Clifford Haskell, Jr., 75, passed away on Monday May 25, 2020. He was born May 13, 1945 in Kalamazoo to the late Ronald C. Haskell Sr. and the late Ellen Joyce (Early) Haskell. Ron attended UofM & was a Western Masters graduate, served in the U.S. Army for 30 years total, retiring a Major. Speaking 11 languages fluently, he also taught English at Universities & military bases & worked for the U.S. Postal Service after military retirement. A real life Rambo who lived a fascinating, secretive life. His love was so unconditional. He was loved & adored by his children & grandchildren. Ron is survived by his daughters, Ranii Haskell, and Rasii (Jeff) Carlson, (Steve) Ekizian, Raasamii Haskell; He was preceded in death by daughter, Rachel (Steve) Ekizian. He leaves 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Mark (Diane) Haskell, Sue (Mike) Nelson and Jon (Tamsie) Haskell. At the family's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date to be announced. Services are entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo.
