Robert Wortinger

Robert G. Wortinger, age 79 of Galesburg, died at home under hospice care on February 14, 2022. He was born July 29, 1942, in Kalamazoo, the son of William and Merna (Strong) Wortinger. Bob was a 1960 graduate of Galesburg-Augusta High School. He was a retired millwright, having worked at Hydreco, a hydraulic machining company. On September 29, 1960, Bob married Janice Sherman. His family includes his wife of 61 years, Janice Wortinger; his children: Barbara (Michael) Gillespie and Todd (Ann) Wortinger; his grandchildren: Cole (Amanda) Nuyen, Kyle Nuyen (Teia Bays), Scott (Jessica) Wortinger, and Bill (Kalie) Wortinger; his great-grandchildren: Taylor, Kyle, Alora, Landon, Avery, and Devon; and his brother Dennis (Sinda) Wortinger; and several nieces and nephews. Following Bob's wishes cremation has taken place.
