Robert Rose

Rose passed away Sunday March 5, 2018 at Ely Manor Nursing Home in Allegan. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, March 30, 1928, the son of Sidney and Nettie Rose, who proceed him in death. Also proceeding him in death was his son, Michael Arron Rose. Surviving members of his family are brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Nancy Rose; children Linda Rose Newcomb, Marc and Robin Rose, Sheri Rose, and Kyra and Tucker McCaw; grandchildren; Amy and Chris Gray, Ryan and Nicole Newcomb, Peter & Kelly Rose, Joseph Rose, Cameron Rose, and Tucker McCaw; great grandchildren; Olivia, Sophia, Brodie, Keegan, Kendall, and Leona; and many nephews and nieces. In Bob's early career, he worked for Harding's Markets as a meat department manager and then for Thornapple Valley Meat Company as Vice President of Sales in Grand Rapids. He continued to work for Thornapple Valley in Florida where he resided for over 20 years. Upon his return to Michigan, he lived in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. He will be missed by family and friends.
