Robert Marks, Jr.

Marks, Jr., Robert S. Robert Marks, Jr., 93, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018. He was born April 15, 1925 to the Robert and Alta (Nicholson) Marks, Sr. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1943. Robert was united in marriage to Jane Bleser on October 26, 1946 for a loving 71 years together. Bob served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from October of 1943 until honorably discharged in October of 1945, as a Flight Officer, 1st Lieutenant. Bob is survived by his wife, Jane Marks; daughter, Pamela Rector; sister, Linda (Dick) Shepard; sister-in-law, Beverly Marks; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Douglas Rector, PhD; siblings, Joyce (Robert) Gardner and James O. Marks. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, May 29th from 2-4 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. A graveside service will be Wednesday, May 30th, 3:00 pm at Hill Cemetery, Lawrence Twp. Memorials in Robert's name may be directed to the Lawrence American Legion for the WWII Veterans Memorial Fund or to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
