Robert Lanphear

John 14:3 "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." Robert's courageous one year battle with cancer is over, his place was ready and he went to see his Savior face to face on Thursday, August 22, 2019. Robert was born March 11, 1947 to the late Lyle and Jane Lanphear. After graduating from Parchment High School in 1965 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country for 3 years. On March 29, 1968, Robert married his forever and ever and always love of his life, Margaret "Marge" Schreuder, who survives. Also surviving are his two brothers Ken (Laurie) Lanphear and Ian (Karen) Lanphear; several nieces and nephews and many cherished friends. Robert was a member of the Prairie Edge Christian Reformed Church, where he served as elder and deacon, and worshipped his Lord faithfully. Visitation for Robert will be from 4:00 to 7:00PM on Thursday, August 29th at Langeland Family Funeral Home Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. A service to celebrate Robert's life will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, August 30th at Prairie Edge Christian Reformed Church, 9316 Oakland Drive, Portage, MI 49024. A private burial will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
