Robert Gordon Hopkins, age 69, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Racine, January 29, 1949, son of the late John and Virginia (Nee: Adolphi) Hopkins. Bob graduated from Wm. Horlick High School “Class of 1967”.

From 1968 – 1970, he proudly served in the U.S. Army stationed in Vietnam and Germany. Bob owned and operated Hopkins Trucking and Topsoil retiring in 2006. He was an avid Packer fan who loved all sports, horse racing, dog racing, hunting and fishing. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his children, Gina, Bobby, and Ross and their mother, Patti Hopkins; siblings, Marcella Feil, Delores Gautsch, Richard (Sandy) Hopkins, Gary Hopkins, and Tom (Julie) Hopkins; sister-in-law, June Hopkins; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and his faithful furry companion Gus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde; in-laws, Judy Hopkins and George Feil; and nephews, John and Tom Burman, and best friends Rick Eisenbart, and Roy Villarreal.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home, Friday, February 9, 2018 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A time of remembering will follow at 7:00 p.m.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Doctors and staff at the Clement Zablocki V.A. Hospital and to his 24/7 caretaker - his son Ross for their loving and compassionate care.
