Robert F. Larson, age 63, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at United Hospital Systems, Kenosha. Robert was born in Racine, April 2, 1953, son of the late Floyd “Flip” and Anne (Nee: Hein) Larson.

Robert was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1971”. An entrepreneur, Robert owned and operated The Subway Deli on Durand Avenue for seven years until his motorcycle accident in 1981. Prior to The Subway he was employed by Styberg Engineering and Harris Metal. In his younger years, Robert enjoyed baseball and loved fast cars, especially his 1969 green GTO. He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He will be dearly missed by his brother-in-law, best friend, and caretaker, David Miller of Racine; Aunt Ardys Larson of Tomahawk, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon “Sharry” Miller.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M.

Robert’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Alpha Homes and their entire staff, especially Valerie and Betty for their excellent care. The many trips to various events, including Brewer games, bowling, the zoo, parks and around the city always gave Bob something to look forward to, and improved his quality of life greatly.
