Robert Bob Rogers

Robert Bob Rogers passed away on Monday, November 16, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee. Mr. Rogers, a lifetime resident of the Kankakee, served in the U.S. Army during WWII, retired after twenty six years with the Kankakee Police Department, was a member of the Kankakee VFW, the Kankakee American Legion, and a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Kankakee. After retirement Bob enjoyed woodworking, listening to music, and was an avid student of WWII history.He is survived by his wife Ardith J. Bear Lindley Rogers whom he married February 25, 1972 at the First Methodist Church of Clifton, two sons Martin Lindley of Bloomington, IL., and Brian (Gail) Lindley of Senoia, GA., two daughters Debra (Michael) Petroni of Kankakee, IL., and Merridy (Eric) Forehand of Morris, IL., eight grandchildren Ashley and Alyssa Petroni, Patrick, Nathan, and Amber Lindley, Erica and Kaitlyn Forehand, and Erin (Mike) Davidson, and two great-grandchildren Eric Davidson and Kylee Lindley.
