Formerly of Cloverdale. Richard Aaron Wolf passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri. He was a resident of Deming, New Mexico and Cloverdale, Michigan. Richard was born May 12, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the son of John Henry Wolf and Viola Ida Fox. Richard and his brother Ralph, graduated from the Hershey Industrial School, Hershey, Pennsylvania. Ralph was a 1937 graduate and Richard was a 1940 graduate. A United States Army PFC World War II veteran stationed at Fort Custer, Augusta, Michigan from February 1943 to March 1946 where he met and married the former Barbara Jean Stadler on February 24, 1945 in Kalamazoo. Richard was a loyal employee in the print divisions of the KVP Sutherland, Brown & Co, and James River paper mills in Kalamazoo, retiring from James River. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Deming, Richard sang in the choir for twenty seven years. A member of the Moose Lodge and a charter member of the Elks Lodges of Deming, he was also a member of the American Legion and Old Fellows Halls. Richard and Arlo often cooked meals at the Elks and Moose Lodges. Richard is survived by his longtime companion, Arlo Mead, a half-sister: Wilma Lee Winter of Palmyra, PA, a daughter: Sheila Sue (Jerry) Kirby of Hamilton, AL, sons: Terrence Richard (Colleen) Wolf of Waterford, MI and Rodger Anthony (Denise) Wolf of Saline, MI, grandchildren: Deborah Ann Johnson, David Michael Lichty, Daniel Todd Lichty, Jennifer Lynn Hecht, Kimberly Ann Spykerman, Adam Jacob Wolf, Catherine Christine Wolf, and Ryan Michael Wolf, twelve great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife, brothers: John Jay Wolf Sr., Lee Roy Wolf, Dawse Carl Wolf, and Ralph Fox Wolf, a sister: Ruth Viola Nerenhausen, half-brothers: Bernard Wesley Wolfe and Warren Walter Wolfe, and a great grandson: Matthew Charles Lint. Richard's family will receive friends January 2, 2018, 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton where his funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Pastor Jeff Worden, officiating. Private burial will take place in Prairieville Cemetery, Barry County. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to your choice of charity in Richard's memory.
